This incident took place between 8pm to 8.30pm last night, Four men with Ak47 assault rifles descended on me when i went to open gate for my family member. We were pushed inside sitting room where they order me, my kids and other family members at home to lay face down on the floor, couple of seconds later we were ordered inside my bedroom where they lay us down demanding my passport my ticket and money. I told them i don't have money and they said they will shot me if i don't give them all their demands.

I stood up and showed them my passport and ticket plus 22 thousand Naira/ 700rands/25 us dollars in my wallet. they took it along with my two phones, two laptop, work camera, all my south African resident permit related documents, other family members phones. This automatically stopped me from leaving the country like am scheduled to live Monday night.

Meanwhile after the incident, i had to compelled the land lady who lives in same house but was not robbed and the chairman of the area land lords association who oversee the security of the estate to take me to police station to lodge a complain to enable me have police report to process another passport. There in(Idimu) police station, they took my statement but did not give me any copy of police statement i made, rather i was told to come on Monday as it was Saturday night and tomorrow being Sunday is also close.

As i still don't believe this incident has anything to do with my news paper comments or politics as i don't belong to any Nigeria political party, I'm pleading to area fathers, thugs, etc that are involved in robbing me off my passport and ticket and other valuable items to please dump my passport and travel documents to any nearest police station where someone will spot it and send back to me..

But then, if this shameful incident is politically motivated. it's very unfortunate because i don't deserve this sort of treatment for speaking out truth regarding Nigeria as i am a Nigeria who has rights to speak as per our 1999 constitution. If not politically motivated, I'm appealing to the right authority concerned to help me secure my right to have my documents replace soonest as possible.

I will be updating vanguard community on this incident.
