In a military regime, a government orientation agency worked assiduously and toured the whole country sensitizing Nigerians on a government’s policy on the then newly created two-party system, conduct of option A4 elections and democracy. Nigerians wholeheartedly accepted this system and the result was the freest and fairest election in the country. Today, in a democratic system, policies and laws are made while the National Orientation agency are fast asleep after which they are forced into the throats of Nigerians willy-nilly and the result is mass protest. What a democracy!
