Manchester United Interim manager Ralf Ragnick has been named Austria Boss
Rangnick will continue to work as a consultant for United at the end of the season, as planned.
"I'm really looking forward to contributing to United becoming a real force again," he said.
The 63-year-old German has agreed to terms with Austria on a two-year contract and will join them after the Premier League season concludes in May.
"It is an honor for me to be appointed manager," he said.
"The prospect of competing in the European Championships in Germany with a young team hungry for success excites me greatly."
Austria, ranked 23rd in the FIFA rankings, has been without a head coach since Franco Foda resigned.
