Esaw (Esau) is a lesson in carelessness. More importantly how many of us as individuals exhibit the kind of attitude Esaw had in whatever endeavour we find ourselves in? Esaw was older than Yaaqob (both were twins) and in a time of hunger gave over the rights of the first born to Yaaqob (Jacob). To Esaw it was just an insignificant position till when the blessing of Yitsḥaq (Isaac) was given over to his younger – now older – brother.
