CASH TRANSACTIONS - ABSURDITY AT ITS CLIMAX!

The recent decision by the Nigerian central bank to limit cash deposits and withdrawal for individuals (150.000) and corporate bodies (1,000,000) is a stupid idea that will never work. There is no where in the world were laws are made to compel people on how to handle the money they earned while doing their legitimate business. There are laws against money laundering, simply apply the law and stop making unintelligent decision that adds sorrows to a people who toil day and night to keep their… Continue

PRESIDENT JONATHAN TAKING CHARGE!

The newly elected Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan in condemning the recent post electoral upheavals in some Northern States is obliged to send a strong message to those who are using the unenlightened youths in their states to commit atrocities. One outstanding lesson from these elections so far is the way Nigerians displayed political maturity by voting for the candidates of their choice rather than voting along party line. I have no doubt that President Jonathan realises the degree of expectations placed on him by Nigerians. The task of rebuilding Nigeria is a…

LONG QUEUES OF HOPE!

Reading through the Nigerian newsmedia, one can see long queues of Nigerians standing in the scorching sun to perform their civic responsibility of voting in an election. Without doubt many are voting for the first time in their life, while others believe that their vote won't really make any difference. Last saturday's election can be described as an acceptable election because there was some minor hitches here and there, we hope today's election will be an improvement from the previous one.… Continue
