SA's President Jacob Zuma has found himself in a new sex scandal. The President has allegedly fathered a child with the daughter of one of his friends. The news comes shortly after his fifth marriage this year. The opposition has been quick to accuse him "of undermining his own government's safe sex campaign, designed to limit the spread of HIV and AIDS."

Media outlets are awash with reports that Zuma fathered a baby girl with a 39-year-old divorcee Sonona Khoza in October last year. Sonono is the daughter of Irvin Khoza, a close friend of the President and the chairman of the organising committee for the world cup. He is also chairman of one of the biggest teams in South Africa (Orlando Pirates) and is vice-president of the South African Football Association.

However In 2006 Zuma was trialed and acquitted of raping a family friend who was HIV positive. His claim that he protected himself from the virus by having a shower after sex prompted widespread ridicule and outrage in South Africa.

According to news reports, the Democratic Alliance leader Helen Zille, has been quoted as saying Zuma’s conduct was damaging to the struggle against HIV and AIDS.

“President Jacob Zuma’s behavior directly contradicts the government’s campaign against multiple sexual partners, and the inherent Aids risk in having unprotected sex," Zille said in a statement. "South Africa now has a President who, both through his words and his actions, is doing similar damage to that struggle".

Not only that president Zuma is a polygamous man, Early this year, he got married to his fifth wife, Thobeka Madiba, aged 37. He has also engaged Gloria Bongi Ngema from Durban. It is not known if Zuma would tie the knot with Ngema anytime soon.

Jacob Zuma’s other wives include, Sizakele Khumalo, who he married in 1973, and Nompumelelo MaNtuli-Zuma, who he married in 2007 during a traditional wedding at his Nkandla home.

The president was legally married to Kate Zuma who died in 2000, Home Affairs Minister, Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, was also married to the ANC president but later divorced in 1998.

President Zuma's action, without doubt, is an embarrassment to his country and admirers. As a leader, he is expected to be a role model to the young ones. His actions and inactions carry so much weight. Though he has finally apologised over the latest incidence, one hopes this will be the last of such embarrassing moments from him. To whom much is given, much is expected.
I wonder why he has always have overwhelming support all along. i hope SA will not join the black nations where we worship the Devil appoointed in preference to the good ones. I remeber the quotation of that time; the best president Nigeria never had. Zuma has been acussed of many and various offences that in civilised world, not africa or any black nation in the world, he would never have been accepted or qualified or even stood up for elections. SA is our only hope and it is diminishing at a rate that call for prayer among the blacks of the world. It seems that we blacks can never govern and do things right. Look at what is happening in Haiti as close to civilization as they are. Is it because we are black? Everything is never clearly done.
Zuma should never have been voted for.
What a "Mr. President"! High political achievement is never an indication of high moral ground. President Zuma does not show the moral uprightness benefiting a national leader and his conduct is not worth emulating. Moreover, President No-Condom's actions are counter-productive to the campaigns of AIDS prevention. That's shameful. Apology is not enough, he needs to control his large appetite for sexcises and shove his "presidential thing" where it belongs before redefining Hedonism as Zumaism. We should not allow any African leader to lead the destruction of the moral fabric of any African country's society. The SA people, especially the younger generations, deserve better from the citizen number one of their country.
This is a good one, Angela.
Jacob Zuma blood really dey hot o! typical south african he is! he is a bad example to the public!..what a randy man he is!..says he protected himself from HIV by having shower after intercourse! this real??!!..what an ignorant entity!..excuse my language...well if he ain't a christian...he could then hide under the umbrella of belief...humans with selfish interests u would say!

He is having fun; this will encourage him to marry the six wife if that is not already on the way.
If i understand what you meant. You are saying that his behaviour is irresponsible. In my opinion, he has manifested the highest form of irresponsibility that could ever come from a president. He is a disgrace to South Africa.
