President Jonathan On Facebook
I am enthralled to have President Goodluck Jonathan on Facebook. I admire the focused discussion he is holding with people. This is a clear sign of great statesmanship to be able to listen to the people, talk to the people, share his personal feelings and philosophy on crucial issues. He is already doing great. In my personal opinion, the good luck of Jonathan seem to be extending to all of us. At his command, there is fuel everywhere at N65 per litre for petrol. Some parts of this country that had not seen light for more than two years, now see light from time to time. Like Oliver Twist though, I want more. I would like President Jonathan to come to Vanguard Online Community also to communicate with us his people in more intimate ways.I feel this would be very beneficial to Nigeria and his cause. What do you think?

My brother, you know everything can be looked at myopically and openmindedly. These things are a matter of choice. What Vanguard has done by creating this community is so great in my eyes that I chose to work with it for bringing my opinion to bear on our national discourse. It is the first of its kind to my knowledge and very robust. Vanguard is also a nationally acclaimed newspaper. There are so much on the open minded angle that can be ascribed to President Jonathan signing up for a page on Vanguard Online community. We have had leaders who would steal our money and use it to sponsor foreign countries and their institutions while similar institutions and governments in Nigeria languish, leading to poor service. Whatever, anybody would say, this is not the time for President Jonathan to be an ostrich that bury its small head in the sand while its huge body is clearly vulnerable and well exposed. Everybody has a faction. Many of us want Jonathan to lead this country for a few more years because of many obvious and intrinsic things and ideas. So, you see, I am going to be accused of being a Jonathan's man, but what do I care. On a funny note, this is the first time a PhD holder has an executive power over the massive people and land called Nigeria. It excites me on end, even if it sounds foolish to someone out there. That's my faction.

Even Facebook is a profit making organization. It is an online medium and it collects advertising revenue.
