Most of us who are calling for Nigeria break up having christian south and northern Muslim in mind, should not forget we have good number of Christians in the north. Would you force these Christians to form a country with Muslim north if your intention of calling for break up is for christian and Muslim to go their separate way? do you understand where am coming from?
Regarding boko haram, federal republic of nigeria government forces will deal with them. Less we make them an issue, Quicker we will witness their extinction.

There are christians in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia etc. These are Arab nations. The Christians in the North can fight their way thorough if worse comes to worst. It is time we told the Northern muslems that enough is enough. If they want a country of their own, if think it is in the best interest of us all to allow them to go their separate way.

Charles,problem of culture or religious diversity we have here in nigeria does not relate with any country of the world. Even among the northern muslims, if you search, you will discover majority of them who are not involve in politics are against their political leaders and politicians political policy. most of them have Igbo or Benin or Ijaw or Rivers or Calaber or Yoruba or people from southern part of nigeria friends, lovers, business partners, or even married couples.
So what harm has these set of human beings done that some group of political bandits among them will wake up one morning and separate them from their love one's in the other side of the country? separation of nigeria will come naturally without blood shed, only if it's God's will.

You are so concerned about the non moslem minority in the North to the detriment of the chrisitian majority in the south
Suppose Nigeria was not amalgamated in the first place, would they have run away from their people? If we must continue to live together, then we have to spell out the terms, else let us part ways for good.

Looking at terrorist attacks by boko haram and manner in which most of retired or failed prominent northern political leaders kept mum on the matter justifeid your point that we must spell out the terms, else let us part ways for good. But let us give new government a bit time to put their governance tools together properly, and go to work. Then if things still remain as it is after at least 6 months from 29th may 201l, we then can put up serious demands on government table.

Anthony the problem with nigeria as a state is not religion per say , religion only contribute 20% , this country called Nigeria was just brought togather for exploitative motive without a proper foundation required to bring people of diverse culture and ethnic difference togather.there is no where in the world where poeple of diverse nature are brought togather without a define way on how to exist and co exist , that it would work.let me tell you that Boko Haram has more political under tone than religion why ? where was boko haram when the northners were in control of this country politically ? the north belive that power to govern this country is exclusivebly reserved for them only , but God in his majesty has brought a minority to a mantle of leadership and what you are seeing is a pocket of resistance to that effect, how i wish we are not culture in the south , when those ten youth copper were slain in the north and we did a similar thing to the northners serving in the south , may be today we may have a different story to tell.until we seat down and discuss as to weather we want to live togather or not we are only playing with the sensitivity of our future generation a word is a enough for the wise.

Agor you spoke my mind. Boko Haram has more political than religious undertone. Your comment has just re-enforced my earlier statement that we need to sit down, discuss and agree on the terms of our continued co-existence as a nation. As far I am concerned, great people one nation is a mere statement. We are still very far from there.
