WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — At Liddell vs. Ortiz 3 workouts, Chuck Liddell worked out for the
media with Tito Ortiz present critiquing his performance.
Liddell vs Ortiz 3 The two light heavyweights were now breakthrough stars and were carrying
the sport to new dollar-sign heights. So for our latest Daily Debate, we asked our readers
and MMAjunkie Radio listeners if the lower price tag means they’ll be buying the event. The
results were pretty harsh.
This Saturday night in Inglewood, Calif., Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz will square off for
the third time when Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions makes its first foray into the
world of MMA.
And yeah, they’re selling this thing on pay-per-view – and the fighters themselves are
reportedly depending heavily on good sales figures to make this worth their while.
Liddell and Ortiz meet for a third time under the promotion of former boxing champion Oscar
De La Hoya. Along with the headline fight from The Forum in Inglewood, California, Tom
Lawlor meets Deron Winn and Efrain Escudero battles Gleison Tibau.
Golden Boy CEO Oscar De La Hoya called the price points “perfect” for tickets to Chuck
Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz 3.
On Tuesday at King’s MMA in West Hollywood, Chuck Liddell and Tito Oritz showed off they
moves in an open workout session ahead of Liddell vs. Oritz 3 later this month. It’s been
nearly two years since we last saw 43-year old Ortiz compete. Eight since ‘The Ice Man’ was
in action, and he’s now 48.
Yet there are still plenty of fans who will tune in on November 24, or attend live at The
Forum in L.A., to see if the two former UFC champions can turn back the clock. At the very
least, the rivalry between the two is alive and well: Ortiz demonstrated that when he
turned up at Liddell’s workout to heckle him.
