By Henry Umoru ABUJA- AHEAD of his formal declaration to contest the 2011 presidential election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, it was gathered yesterday that at the end of his meeting with the PDP governors Tuesday, President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed six of the governors as his campaign coordinators.
According to a source at the end of the meeting, President Jonathan who was said to have concluded arrangements to flag-off his Presidential campaign 18th September this month, had the governors representing the six geo-political zones of the country.
The source said further that the President announced to the governors, the appointment of Nigeria’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Senator Dalhatu Sarki Tafida as the Director-General of his campaign organization.
According to the source, the governors are Ibrahim Shema of katsina state for the North-West, Isa Yuguda of Bauchi state for North-East, Gabriel Suswam of Benue state to oversee the North-Central, Gbenga Daniel of Ogun state will handle the South-West, Liyel Imoke of Cross River state for South-south while the Ebonyi State governor, Martin Elechi will take charge of the South-East.
