HOW CAN WE AS A COUNTRY REDUCE CORRUPTION TO ITS LOWEST LEVEL.
I have come to agree that our major problem in Nigeria is courruption which is mainly with our leaders. So how can we as a country reduce corruption to its lowest level among our leaders and the society generally.Any suggetions please.

u can only reduce corruption if there is servere punishment.in developed countries if u are convicted of corruption u go to jail.in Nigeria it is treated with kid gloves.

It is said in the scripture:when the Righteous beareth rule the people rejoice but when the wicked rule the people lament-it is obveous we should allow them who as the fear of God/Allah in the heart,else corruption will persist to bear her offspring if this not taking.

i think the two major things to focus on presently in this society is how to strenghten our judiciary and our electoral systems , make them autonomous and very strong backed by the law of the land and then fight corruption with these two strong establishments.

Make political offices less attractive
Introduce stiffer penalities for corruption related offences
Empower the anti corruption agencies
Revamp the judiciary

Corruption (bribery and immorality) is worldwide and it originates from idolatry or evil:
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (JESUS, John 10:10, NKJV);
"...the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth..." (Genesis 8:21, NKJV)).
We can only resist the temptation to do any evil act or be delivered from evil by the fear of the LORD, which is Wisdom and the knowledge of the Holy, i.e. the understanding to depart from evil. (Job 28:28, Proverbs 9:10 Psalm 111:10).

We shall begin by making political offices less attractive by reducing the earnings and emoluments of political office holders. Second, accountablility should be instituted in our national life. Once political office holders are made to account for their stewardship, they will sit up. Third and finally, our society will stop worshipping corrupt politicians instead we shall confront them and those found to have enriched themselves with public fund will be made to face the wrath of the law.
