The Indigenous People of Biafa, IPOB, has exonerated Anambra state governor Willy Obiano from the list of those that allegedly betrayed its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Recall the IPOB last week accused governor Obiano alongside host of others, of being behind the betrayal of its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, vowing that they “shall surely pay for their satanic role in the abduction and rendition of our Leader.”
However, in a statement signed Tuesday, by its media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, said Obiano was found to be innocent after its intelligence unit conducted further investigations on him.
"We, however, wish to absolve Gov. Willie Obiano from any involvement in the act contrary to our earlier statement based on preliminary investigation. Gov. Willie Obiano was found to be innocent after our intelligence unit conducted further investigations on him. We regret any harm our earlier statement might have caused him," the statement read in part.
