You seem to imply that religion and brains are mutually exclusive. Your state that everyone who is religious is brainless, and everyone who is brainy is not religious. That's fine in theory, but empirical evidence trounces this proposition. This is the kind of fallacy that armchair philosophers who reason in a vacuum fall into. I am sorry, what was the sample size for the survey you conducted before reaching this conclusion? What is the basis of your claim. My friend, what you have up here is not a fact - it is an hypotheses, please go and test it and stop speaking of the cuff.

@ Ed,i dont give a dam to what ever one immagen or think about the true religion. It is said that at the end time , the anti christs will be abound. those guys (authors) you mentioned and their books are being sponsored by some agent of darkness in other to make religion look ficticious. you only tell us those books that supported what you belive in and refused to talk about numerous of them that tells us what the truth is all about. Alicia, pls nobody is murdering Christ the first time, the second term or the third term. There is no sin for one to be religeous or believe in alchool, christ, ogun, sango or womanising as the cure for their perceived problems or their desire to be self fulfilled in life.
My main problem is when people ascribe the "holy books" to divine inspiration. I have read the bible so many times and I have not seen anything that points to it being divinely inspired. The bible itself implores us to seek knowlegde first. Pls do not take offence, I am going to ask you a simple question. Does the god lie or suffer from amnesia? If not as I expect you to reply is it Satan that put all the inconsistencies in the bible.

A story was told of a madman who visits a restaurant anytime he is hungry. Each time he goes with a plate and a dagger and points the dagger at the woman who owns the restaurant and say "Woman, Food! You may think that it is not going to be, but it may be." This happened so many times and the woman against her will, must give this madman food.She got fed up and reported the matter to her husband. Her husband was infuriated and told his wife that he will bring the ugly saga to an end.
This madman came as usual pointing his dagger to the woman and said: "Woman, Food! you may think that it is not going to be, but it may be. Her husband called his bluff and told him to get out. The madman descended on this man with his dagger and hacked him to death. After that he pointed the dagger at the woman again and requested for food. The woman though distressed, gave him food.
What a pathetic story, but the truth is that most people today do not believe that there is everlasting torment in hell fire if they do not turn away from their sins. My brothers and sisters, God does not bluff. __For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: " I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate. Where is the wise man? Where is the Scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? (1 Corinthians 1:18-20). Don't pitch yourself in a battle against the LORD because you will lose with impunity. Instead repent today and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour before it becomes too late. Don't allow the philosophies of this world to deceive you not to believe the message of salvation in the Bible. My brother thanks for the emotional display. It is right to believe in one thing or the other but it is dangerous, mischievious and ungodly to mislead others. Where is the evidence that the hell fire exists? Who wrote the bible that you are quoting? Is it satan, god or ordinary individuals? Pls do not take offence but do you agree with me that the bilble is full of lies and inconsistencies and "god" does not lie. You are free to worship your god but do not threaten people with illussions. Ordinarily the bible will not be admissible in a court of law as a credible substantiation of fact.
You do not just ask people to accept Jesus Christ you must give them a convincing reason why they must. You can not use the bible as your reason anyway.
