Blizzard has announced that it’s delaying the release of World of Warcraft Shadowlands until sometime later this year to give itself more time for additional polish. Though the exact release date is still unknown, it will be in 2020 for sure.
Blizzard says that the delay is an incredibly difficult decision for the team, as they are as eager to get the expansion into your hands as you are to play it—but eventually, they feel it’s the right decision for the game as well as the players.
World of Warcraft players have had some criticism about aspects of end game progression in Shadowlands, including the Covenants. A delay will allow Blizzard to address this feedback, as well as polish systems like Torghast---the Tower of the Damned
Blizzard has a commitment to quality. And we believe the expansion is going to be awesome and it is always worth the wait.
