FROM THE DESK OF CONCERN YOUTH:
It is out of our utmost concern and dismay at the gruesome murder of four students of the University of Porthacourt, alleged of stealing mobile phones and laptops, and the subsequent burning of their bodies by the suspected indigines of Aluu community,
Rivers State, that we sadly appeal to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Inspector General of Police, Nigerian Bar Association, Governor Chibuike Amaechi (Rivers State Governor), the Executives of National Association of Nigerian Students, The President of Nigerian Youth Council and all the University bodies , to act without delay to bring out the perpetrators of this evil act.
Nigeria is not a banana republic; there must be absolute recourse to the rule of law at all times.
It is time for federal government to strengthen the police force and the judicial system, give hope to the common man and dispel the belief of mistrust and corruption in their services.
If prompt action is not taken to address this lawlessness (Jungle Justice), Nigeria will be the worst anarchist state in the world and evil minded will maliciously continue to set up their foes in this gruesome way.
Let’s respect our fundamental human rights; NO ONE IS GUILTY UNLESS PROVEN SO BY A COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION
