The researchers concerned during this research, together with American healthcare company Kaiser Permanent, Anne H. Siang, said that the chance is related to the type one and type 2 disorder and suffering from diabetes throughout pregnancy.
The findings of the research found that the risk of ASD is higher in children of those pregnant women compared to diabetic women who have diabetes complaining during the 26 weeks of pregnancy.
Sheang said that the seriousness of diabetes in mother is related to autism complication in children of a diabetic woman.
This research has been published in JMA magazine. In research, 4,19,425 children were included, who were born within 28 to 44 weeks. This research was conducted from 1995 to 2012.
