Brazilian star Coutinho always managed to get clear that it turned out his want to play for Barcelona - and also the extent of his would like to move means which he was ready to lose money. Coutinho took a pay cut, equally as Javier Mascherano and Luis Suarez did after they completed similar moves. Speaking to Sport, Barcelona vice chairman Jordi Mestre said: 'Yes, he made a large economic effort, like Mascherano and Luis Suarez within their day.' Coutinho made a major sacrifice to participate in Barcelona.
Coutinho takes the ball forward in a single of his first Barca appearances. Coutinho plays the ball over the clash with Alaves. 'This shows the drive they have to learn at Barca.' Coutinho is ultimately the delayed option to Neymar, who left for Paris Saint-Germain last summer. But Mestre says how the club have finally coped along with his departure and they are happy with all the direction that this club is currently taking.
