Ndigbo 'll gain from IBB's presidency—Nwachukwu
OWERRI—As the debate rages on as to which zone should produce the next president, a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain in Imo State, Chief Adolphus Nwachukwu, has predicted that the South-East geo-political zone stood to benefit most from Babangida’s presidency and consequently urged politicians in the zone to rally behind the former military president.
Chief Nwachukwu, who is also the Chairman, Destiny 2011 group, faulted the stance and reluctance of South-East governors to declare their preferences as worrisome and unhelpful, and urged them to make public their support for General Babangida.
He added that the zone stood to lose a lot of political goodwill if it did anything contrary to the nationwide clamour and support for Babangida’s presidency.
Describing Babangida as a man with pro-Ndigbo sentiments, Chief Nwachukwu assured that his group will lead the campaign to sell Babangida’s presidential ambition to all nooks and crannies in the South-East, whether or not the governors bought into the project.

Mr Nwachukwu has either been settled or is hopeful of so being!
The only reason this is worthy of any attention at all is the naivety of people and the remote possibility that nwachukwu might actually believe this nonsense and therefore confuse one or two other persons.
For the avoidance of doubt, IBB, has nothing to offer any body. He is a bored old man with two much money and time on his hands seeking to make meaning of the few miserable days left of his life.
Whilst i don't begrudge him the benefit of trying to add a little excitement to his life, i implore our people not to further set us back another century just so IBB can have another shot at presidencya after throwing away the robust opportunity he had of being one of the most respected Nigerians ever.
IBB owes us not only for the wasted eight years he spent as head of state, i personally hold him responsible for all the other clowns who have come after him!
