LUCK IS NEVER ENOUGH

PART 1

You must have heard about ‘’Talent is never enough’’. Also luck is never enough. Success as defined by Oxford Advance Dictionary is the fact that you have achieved something that you want and have been trying to do or get. It is usually said that ‘’success is achieved when preparation meets opportunity’’. While luck on the other hand is the good things that happen to you by chance, not because of your own efforts or abilities. But luck is never enough.

From the above words ‘’success is achieved when preparation meets opportunity’’. Opportunity is a time when a particular situation makes it possible to do or achieve something. And the most important thing is ‘’PREPARATION’’. If opportunity comes and it is without preparation, success is hard to achieve. And it is the same thing as the saying ‘’if you fail to plan you have plan to fail’’.

Nevertheless, don’t confuse success with luck because luck does not guarantee your Success in life.

However, Nigeria’s problem is Leadership and most of our leaders are not prepared for the positions they are holding or occupying. Looking at the trend of governance from 1960 to date, it is apparent that most of our leaders are not prepared. So when leaders are not prepared even if they have luck they will still not succeed because luck is never enough to achieve success which is the end result. And ‘’luck’’ without ‘’preparation’’ will most likely fail. To be continued.......
