Step 1: Remove the DLink router from where it is placed. Set the DLink centralized location closer to your device and see if you can establish a connection.
Step 2: Unplug the Bluetooth devices or smart home devices that are near the network as they can interrupt in the way of your connection. Locate the small reset h*** that is at the back of the router.
Step 3: With the help of a paper clip, press the reset button and hold it for at least 10 seconds. This will make the router reset to default factory.
Step 4: Open a web browser and navigate to the IP address of your DLink. Type ‘admin’ in the username and leave the password field blank.
Step 5: Click the setup wizard icon and launch the internet connection setup wizard option. Click next and type a new password for your router in the text box.
Step 6: Follow the on-screen prompts and type of high-speed connection. Click next and ok.
Step 7: Click tools and firmware, choose the name of the firmware file. Save the settings afterward. Right-click the network icon on your desktop and click the name of your DLink router to connect to the network.
