Why our use of non-renewable resource cannot go on forever because most of our energy comes from non-renewable resource .closing one by one all the non-renewable energy resources have positive and negative affects to the nature. The world needs all the energy we can develop, in every potential form. While finding new ways to maximize the use of traditional resources such as oil and natural gas, we also depend on technology to produce emerging sources of energy. A non-renewable resource is a natural resource that cannot be produced re-grown, regenerated, or reuse on a scale which can sustain its consumption rate. Resources often exist in a fixed amount or are consumed much faster than nature can recreate them. Fossil fuels such as coal, petroleum and natural gas and nuclear fuel are some examples. In contrast, resource such as timber when harvested sustainable or metals which can be recycled are consider renewable resources. A non-renewable resource is always drawn down with anabolic process that up energy.
The ability to provide non-renewable resources as raw material for economic activities, such as metals, minerals, water, and fossil fuels, found above the soil, within the surface for ocean ecosystems.
Oil and gas will not last forever .New sources of oil and gas are constantly being sought. It is thought that the current resources under the North Sea will last about another 20 years and the word resources will last for about 70 years. When these fuels are burned, they produce the gas carbon dioxide which is a greenhouse gas and is a major contributor to global warming. Transporting oil around the world can produce oil slick, pollute beaches, and harm wildlife. Global warming is bad for the world so we need to prevent that from happening.
It is not the natural resource that harms the earth’s environment it is what humans do with the natural resources that cause the problems to the environment and to the health of living things, including other human’s beings. The burning of fossil fuels in factories to make products and power, and the fuels used by trucks, automobiles and jets planes have cause acid rain and a great increase in carbon dioxide and pollution in the atmosphere.
