Ekiti State House of Assembly approves death penalty for cultists

A bill to prohibit the perpetration of cultists has scaled through the third reading in Ekiti State House of Assembly.

It was in our notice that deaths caused by cultism increase day by day in Ekiti State, as an alleged cultist was killed by other cult members a couple of days ago in Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.

The substance of the bill, which is yet to be signed into law by the governor, is the prescription of death penalty for those found guilty of breaching the law in that regard...
