Esaw: A careless attitude.

Esaw (Esau) is a lesson in carelessness. More importantly how many of us as individuals exhibit the kind of attitude Esaw had in whatever endeavour we find ourselves in? Esaw was older than Yaaqob (both were twins) and in a time of hunger gave over the rights of the first born to Yaaqob (Jacob). To Esaw it was just an insignificant position till when the blessing of Yitsḥaq (Isaac) was given over to his younger – now older – brother.

They Got Married.

This week, on Sunday – the first day of the week – I listened to a drama aired by the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN). Pleasantly, it was about a lady desirous of getting married but faced with a daunting task of choosing whom amongst two differing suitors she would give her hand to. At times we may wonder what connection the New Testament has to the Old Testament and why both (if one thinks of them in terms of two) are relevant to believers. Ibrim (Hebrews) 11:1-40
