Imo apologises to Rev Father over arrest

Imo State government has tendered an unreserved apology to the Rev. Fr. Eustace Okorie, over his recent maltreatment by security officials who accused him of blocking their way, arrested him and took him to Government House, Owerri.

But Governor Ikedi Ohakim, who tendered the apology to Fr. Okorie, the Catholic Church and the entire Christendom in Imo State and Nigeria in a statewide radio and television broadcast, described the incident as unfortunate.

'We will drag Jonathan to Court if he declines to run for 2011 election'

Imoke laments loss of 76 oil wells

Commissioner warns residents over indiscriminate dumping of waste
