Rehabilitation begins on Lagos-Ibadan rail line

The rail line connecting Lagos to Ibadan is currently undergoing rehabilitation while the Ibadan Inland Container Depot, ICD, will be operational by May 2011.

LAGOS—The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has said it has not suspended the production of Customised National Drivers’ Licence in Lagos State as reported in the media last week.

FG sacks FMBN board

ABUJA—THE Federal Government has dissolved the board of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, FMBN. The board’s dissolution which takes immediate effect, was approved by President Goodluck Jonathan.

19 survive as bus plunges into river

NO fewer than 19 passengers, including 11 children, escaped death by the whiskers, Friday night in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital,when a bus in which they were travelling plunged into a river on Abiola Way.
