ABUJA - EU Election Observation Mission, EU EOM, has described the National Assembly elections as a “positive step,” but says improvements are needed for the next elections.

Kaduna - INEC, Sunday, released partial results of Saturday's National Assembly (NASS) elections for Kaduna State.

FORMER Secretary to the Delta State Government, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa was declared the winner of the Senatorial election in the Delta North Senatorial District, held Saturday.
The returning officer, Prof Ebele Egwunyenga, who announced the result, Sunday at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, headquarters, Asaba, said Dr. Okowa polled 98,140 votes to beat his main rival, Hon Ned Nwoko of the Democratic People’s Party, DPP, who got 67,985 votes.
