yar adua and bbc

i wonder what the world is turning into. even BBC could allow herself to be used in the nigerian dilemma. and Yar Adua too has equally enhanced the re branding campaign. we have credible media outfits like NTA,NAN,VON,AIT to name a few. He chose not to talk to any but BBC. anyway sha he tried. i wish him God's divine speed in his recovery. it is well.

The Pains of a father.(a poem)

There in tattered clothes he sat,

Lost in the confines of a deep thought,

To himself he muttered; “this must be the devil’s wrath.”

Life had brought him nothing but oats of pain;

Penniless as he was, this made him insane.

He had amassed all the degrees,

But to success he seems not to have paid his fees.

Darkness had spread across his destiny,

All his fat dreams had been made tiny.

Trickles of tears dropped down his wrinkled face

As… Continue

victory over HIV/AIDS

The solution to any problem is in the problem! God will never allow you to be tempted above what you cannot handle. He always makes a way of escape for you. He knows you can deal with the HIV virus that’s why He made the keys to divine cure available to you.

“There hath no temptation(sickness) taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able… Continue

what if it is my last

Here are some vital questions we need to daily ask ourselves:

This place am going to, what if it is my last?

This food am eating, what if it is my last?

This clothes am wearing, what if it is my last?

This cheating am cheating, what if it is my last?

This lies am telling, what if it is my last?

This fight am fighting, what if it is my last?

This work am doing, what if it is my last?

This adultery am committing, what if it… Continue

Is Nigeria a lawless country?

When one look at the situation in this our beloved country, one will wonder if there is any law operating in Nigeria. During the April 2007 general election, "many Nigerians" came out to elect the president who can represent them well. the one who will be able to speak for them. Today, the reserve is the case. The question now is: where is this president that many Nigerians voted for? What is happenning to him? I believe many Nigerians want to see their president. Why not allow the… Continue

While we do everything to put our name in the good book within the global community, after the great damage done to us all by Mutallab. We must also learn lessons from the the way the Americans and the entire world responded to that attempted inhuman act, which shows value for human lives. Talking about terrorism, must one go to Yemen and Afganistan for training or carry loads of explosives waiting to be detonated in an airline or other public places to be classified as terorrist? How can one… Continue

The ill-presido!

Where is the nation going from here? The godamned president's seat vacant for the next dude, but the dying northern hope won't let his stool occupied by the first African cow-boy who is walking around with a large hat as though he's some kind of red-Idian chief--shame to him and the nation who has not been critical of his Idianmaniac Costume.I mean what's wrong with a smart suit for a Subordinate like him?

Nigerian Politicians and their Investments in Abroad

I believe it is high time we begin to expose the politicians who are very skilled in looting the treasury for thier selfish interest especially acquiring investment properties in abroad. Charity begins at home, we need all our politicians to come clean and declare their assets.

Today we face the challenge of developing greater confidence, initiative, solution-finding, and problem-solving capabilities amongst our people. The state needs at all levels to be more self-sufficient, resourceful, creative and autonomous. These will make us operate at higher strategic level to enable us become more productive and competitive. People's efforts produce bigger results and this is what we must all strive to achieve to move forward.

Always Detoxify Your Body For Good Health!!!

Studies have shown that more synthetic new chemicals are been produced everyday. At most about 3% of these chemicals have been tested for cancer-causing properties, and even fewer have been tested for hormone disrupting properties. These chemicals have been added to our food supply and more chemical solvents, emulsifiers, and preservatives are being used for food processing.

We ingest hundreds of pounds of food annually that are contaminated by these chemicals. In our lifetime… Continue

Save Nigeria from Disintegration

Nigeria is a beautiful country with well read people all over. How can a few numbers of people manipulate the system, interpreting the constitution for their selfish interest at the detriment of Nigeria? Why the educated, the statesmen, the free-thinking and the military simply kept quiet is beyond my understanding. With the leadership vacuum in Nigeria and Al’ Qaeda operatives penetrating Nigeria, I believe at this point that Nigeria needs a leader with integrity and a sense of direction.… Continue

The inclusion of Nigeria in the US Watch List

Taking a critical look at Mr. Dele Sobowale write up, to me he has a point because I have never seen a stituation whereby a foreigner commits an offence and will be persecuted in another country but the young suicide bomber who has tainted the image of Nigeria deserves to be punished even if Nigeria succeeds in saving his life from the US. My major concern is that Nigeria's image should be redeemed at all cost.

Although, before this incident it has not be easy for Nigerians to… Continue

My brothers' keeper is not only

used literarily, it also has a

literal meaning. That is, as

brothers' keeper means a

responsibility towards ones

friends or neighbours, it also

means a responsibility towards

ones SIBLINGS. And i think the

meaning really starts here.

After all, they say charity

begins at home.

Okay, let's say you turned

wealthy and had a brother or

sister who was basking in

poverty. What do you feel if

the… Continue

Beware of Dubious Members

I am a new member of the Vanguard Online Community and would want to alert unsuspecting and innocent male members on the existence of fraudsters who pose as female members with or without photographs.

They get your e-mail or name and post a message to you asking you to contact them via e-mail and when you do that, they start giving you some business proposals or even relationship proposals which if you fall victim, yawa go just gas for you.

I have noticed most of these activities on… Continue

TERRORISM: An unfair notion about Islam

It is unfortunate that in the last three decades, terrorism has become a world wide menace. More unfortunate is the notion that most of the terrorist acts are said to be religiously motivated tilting against Islam. The bombing of World Trade Centre, the 1995, the Oklahoma City bombing, several attacks against American targets in Africa, Saudi Arabia in 1995 and 1996, and the one in Beirut, Lebanon in the 80s, the September 11. 2001 tragedy and the December 25 failed attack that would have… Continue

Self-Flagellation and The Abdulmutallab Affair

Sometime not too long ago, it seems, in the early 1990s, I was at a London court to help interpret for a young Nigerian who had been charged to the court for armed robbery. I was sure the young Nigeria could speak perfect, if accented, English, but the Crown Prosecution Service decided they could not understand his accent and it would be in his best interest if someone were to interpret for him.

The judge, on hearing the charges, immediately called the Crown Prosecutor to his bench… Continue

I believe now Nigerians will sit and think of a way to paddling the canoe of this great nation towards the desired dreams of her founding fathers, which is based on human emancipation and respect for one another. \

The AbdulMuttalab's case have finally drawn Nigerians to world attention, not of a break through in researches or academic prowess, but for possibly being a country to watch out on the list of countries of art of terrorism. The question persist, who truly is a terrorist? I would… Continue
