Shout out for justice

The echoes of slavery constantly overshadows America’s path to the future.

The unfair injury burdened upon the shoulders of the African men and women.

The cries from the hurt, forced, chained and scared treading waters to places untold.

Memories of yesterdays gone; times that we hope will never return again.

Tossed up and down upon the waves in the belly of the smelly wooden beast,

Chained up together and stacked so tight, there is no more hope for a safe… Continue

The proud seed of an African born slave

For too long I’ve stood shackled by the confinement of shame.

The shame of knowing I’m the seed of an African born slave.

The false mentality, that in America, I’ll never truly live free.

The untrue belief, that I’ll be a slave until I go to my grave.

For years, by the American society, it’s beat and bred inside of me.

I was never meant to be apart of the great American delusion.

I’ve been judged to be just the seed of an African born slave.

A Stable Nigeria

Nothing good has ever come from violence. Certainly, religious intolerance is a phenomenon that has existed for decades, and will continue to exist into the future. Just because one set of beliefs is not equivalent to another does not justify genocide against another faith. The targeting of Christianity or any other set of beliefs, even Islam, is never an appropriate solution to the situations before us. Muslims can claim…

Is Africa behind in evolution? Revisiting Dr. Watson’s statement

Dr. James Watson once diagnosed our problem in Africa as evolutionary. He said that “I am inherently gloomy about the prospects of Africa. . . . There was no reason to think that races which had grown up in separate geographical locations should have evolved identically.”

The premise of Dr.…

Agenda for Nigeria’s Shadow Parliament in New York

Last week the 1992 list of Shadow Cabinet members drawn by the New Nigeria Youth Movement raised a lot of dust. People continued to send me nomination of likely members for the proposed new Shadow Cabinet to be drawn and ratified by

the Youth body billed to meet last week in Port Harcourt. What

they did not appear to understand is that I have no powers to draw, ratify or

even announce such a list at the present time. In 1992, I was given such a

mandate but not today.…

The Governors forum!

These governors has turn themselves to untouchables characters in nigeria. in the first instance, they have become obstacle to democracy and democratic values, they need to leave the acting president alone and face the chanllenges of development in their various states and fight curruption and greed at their domain. Nigeria deserve better than what the govs. are doing! They need to push for electoral reforms and political education at the grassroot and sustainable development.

Why worry ourselves

Nigerians worry over unnecessary issues like the rejection of the old notes of N5, N10. N50. The Apex bank has set out a date for the rejection of these old notes but because of who we are, we have started stressing ourselves over the rejection from 26th of February as far as i am concern. I was in a bus the other day, the conductor gave change to an elderly woman and she refused to collect saying this is old note and that in her area no one will collect it from her the conductor too rejected… Continue
