After ASUU …

Posted on November 21, 2013 at 8:00am 0 Comments

THERE is a paradox governments have  built around education — they are spending billions of Naira on education, yet the financial issues around education are not being resolved. The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, strike is only one of many matters that are dogging education.

In that tragic accident, Nigeria lost one of its finest patriots; a Marxist revolutionary whose dedication to the liberation of our country and the enthronement of a society of social justice for the working people, were the defining motifs of his work as well as his life. …

Lagos blue line rail ready in 18 months: LAMATA boss

Posted on November 21, 2013 at 1:00am 0 Comments

By Olasunkanmi Akoni

All things being equal, the prevailing ordeal of motorists and other road users in the Mile Two and Marina  parts of Lagos should be over in 18 months if the assurance recently given to that effect by the  Managing Director Lagos Metropolitan Transport Management Authority, LAMATA, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, is anything to go by.

The LAMATA boss  had anchored the promise on the expectation that the Mile 2-Marina blue line rail project would be ready…

         AVOID AKALAISM IN OYO

I am much intrested in Oyo guber race because i know that Akala  can do anything to remain in government house in Agodi. Eleweomo's death may not be unconnected with his scheme;arrange your supporter's death and put the blame on your enemy in other to have a 'hitch free' primary when the threat wallops in detention. This is called AKALAISM as oppossed to AWOISM of the days when the will of people was supreme.

Ibadan people do not constitute the wh*** Oyo state but have ways of deciding its faith because of its cosmopolitan history.Oyo ACN should put its house in order in other to give Akala a good run for his ill gotten money.it's high time we took the challenge to develped our noble state and take a cue from a fast developing state Lagos'
