Dead beat dads!

It is a shame how fathers are given a bad name by the goverment. When you are a father and have a child outside of your home they concider you a dead beat and a unfit parent. Well I have a son who lives in with his mother and step father in G.A. and I would do anything for him. I am writing this to find out what is the deal with fathers who have kids in the United States and don't support, communicate, or even care about their children. Kennedy Otobo, is just one of many that I am refering to.…See More

Hello My fiend,

It is nice hearing from you on this matter. Like I said initially, it will be much better if we can find a way or what can be done to savage this situation. A lot of things are happening now and days which may make some people to remain what they are. As always, I want to commend you for been a man trying to leave up to your responsibilities and I pray God to sustain you to the end. In the mean time, I want to know if there is any means to contact Mr. Otobo ? Though something is missing. Were they legally married? Otherwise, I would have love to know if the kid's mother has away of communicating with him and when was the last time they had from him ?

You know, it is our responsibility to learn from others mistakes to avert fallen to thesame trap.

Thanks

I read through your bloog and is disheartened. But however, it will be very difficult to run into conclussion in this case beacuse the story is up-up without foundation. If one may ask, what makes the father to leave the family behind in the US ? And what is your relationship ? To me it looks weared for someone like Otobo to desert his family without any reason. As a community leader, these are some of the things that makes community association to be very important so that when there any situation that is out of hand can be addressed promptly. Again, I want to personal thank you for bringing a situation like this to light. I will be more than glad if you can make be part of solution to this problem.
