War of the Generals: IBB Vs OBJ

This event is evident to the fact that the pact between IBB and OBJ has finally broken. This sign of this could be traced to the time in 2007, when IBB helped to truncate OBJ's quest for a third term in 2007, with the assumption that he (IBB) was going to clinch the PDP nomination. OBJ paid him back then, by selecting UMY instead, forcing IBB to withdraw from the race. Then came 2011, IBB once again, gave the PDP nomination his best shot, and was seen as the front-line aspirant,  yet again, OBJ…See More

Political violence ‘ll continue unless…. – SultanComing from such a highly respected religious leader like the Sultan, this statement is a welcome development to a country that have seen violence too many. The fact that the political elites are the architect of these violent…See More

Thanks, Doc. It is my pleasure to accept your invitation to be your friend. I look forward to reading more of your contructive contributions to topical national issues that I am sure will one day contribute to the eventual transformation of our great copuntry. Nigeria is the only country I know to be mine and whatever I can contribute to its attainment of greatness I will gladly do. Ones again I thank you and may God bless Nigeria.

Dear Ayo,I am greatly moved by the power in your message.I have long been looking for Nigerians like you to stand up for what is true.I know that in Nigeria,we are known as a very religious people, but with little godliness.I am writing this piece to support the momentum that you have generated. It is only in Nigeria that a child is born in Sokoto and would be expected to claim statehood from Calabar. We are fast loosing our values as a nation.Gone are those days when people respect you for your intellect, when school children strive for excellence in academic achievements and are recognized for it.Today, wealth has become the success symbol, and to acquire limitless wealth has become the norm.Gone are those days in our society when young children dream of becoming great doctors, engineers, lawyers, etc, and really work hard to achieve success.Today our youths engage in examination malpractice, and certificate forgery, supported by their parents. We all have been watching this and done nothing. These are the people that would replace these criminals we call "political leaders" in the future.Their future cannot be guaranteed if we continue to do nothing. My bother, we need to take action, to reach out and save our children. The politicians have no plans for their future. Today in the US,a sitting democratic government, lost election to the rival party in a senatorial election, and there was no crisis,no blood sheds. Elections will soon take place in Anambra state, and these politicians will still want to shed innocent blood for their greed.Jos is burning today, more than 100 lives taken. We need to educate our children to avoid being used by the politicians to rig elections, and to kill. That's probably a good way to start. To educate our children to know their right and grow up in the light of that reality. We need to get our leaders to be accountable for their actions in and out of office. The fire that drives corruption is the fact that these criminals goes unpunished!God bless Nig
