On Sunday, June 6, 2010 Executive Governor of Kwara State Dr. Bukola Saraki undertook a tour of a newly operational chicken processing in the district of Shonga. The chicken processing plant is part of the commercial agriculture initiative of his administration. The processing plant processes up to 2500 birds a day, though it is capable of handling up to 7500.
