Religious intolerance, extremism, fanatism etc, is not new in Nigeria. The monster has painfuly lived with us for decades. It rears its ugly head at the slightest provocation (real or imagined). Before now, it was employed to 'settle scores', to bring non Hausa-Fulanis (especially Igbos) down, - to fustrate their progress. It has now changed form and objectives. It is now terrorism, it it is now a political tool used deliberately to discredit the government in power. The sad news is that the dimension it has now taken pottends danger to Nigeria's oil and water unity. Our leaders should courgeously tell us the truth, - if they are tired of this incompatible marriage , after all my people say "go home no bi curse".
