I have just being informed by a reliable source that acting Presido Good Luck Jonathan is bringing back Robo-Cop Nuhu Ribadu for the toothless bull dog Fadira Waziri as EFCC Boss. Do you think is a good idea after so much controversy surrounding Ribadu?

RIBADU'S MIDDLE NAME MUST HAVE BEEN CONTROVERSY. iF nIGERIA MUST MOVE ON AND STEADY OUR SINKING SHIP, WE HAVE TO BUILD ON THE FUTURE NOT THE DUBIOUS PAST. BUT IT WILL BE EASIER FOR YARADUA TO RETURN THAN FOR US TO BEHOLD RIBADU AGAIN. RIBADU HAS PROVEN THAT HE HAS A WHOLE STASH OF SKELETONS IN HIS CUPBOARD. HIS COMMING BACK CAN ONLY MEAN ONE THING... TROUBLE.

For me, Ribadu need to be commended. He has really worked. He exposed several serving Governors, Senators, Ministers, politicians in general etc. Is there anyone among those whom Ribadu actually arrested, investigated and charged to Court who has not stolen? Name them.
The Ibori, Igbinedions, etc are all living wittiness. In Benin Alone, we know how many mansions, Estate, money, vehicles, etc returned to the government cover by Igbinedions’ administration. They are there.
During the days of Ribadu, If any money is missing in the Civil service / government agencies, Just shout Nuhu Ribadu’s name, u are sure the money will be returned within 24 hours. What has Wasiri done? Does it mean that the politicians are no longer stealing money again? What is the outcome of the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup equipment money which was stolen? There are several thousands going on in various states, local governments etc
We heard EFCC shared hampers to the Hon members? Na true?
Whether people like it or not Ribadu is a Hero.
How about our Missing Mr President? This is the highest level of insecurity in the Nigeria? Is the President a private man? Can the President disappear like that? Can another country capture our President like that?
We need to see our president live, pls, We cannot just forget him. I beg u na o.

I think the case of Ribadu and EFCC is a forgone conclusion. It would be a nightmare to see him back in EFCC especially as the boss. Let us call a spade its real name. Ribadu has tried his best during his tenure as EFCC boss even though I have not found anybody that can be in leadership position in that country - Nigeria, and would not have his name defiled. Let's forget about his personal weakness and mistakes which is peculiar to every human being. If Farida and her team could have traumatised the corrupt leaders like Ribadu did, I think we would have been a step forward today. Like a fellow rightly commented that if Ribadu comes back, his first assignment should be to probe the more than 2 months period of vacuum in the Presidency when it was believed that the legislooters have looted our treasury as they were pleased. The only thing I feel could be done if for any reason Ribadu returns anytime T, moment M, is to reinstate him into the police force and let him have his rank back as AIG, from there, I think we can move forward.

Dear Smart looking, Ribadu is not better off than the people he castigated. Like a good scam artist He has succeeded in gaining the support of the masses, but take a closer look you will see he has greatly enriched himself with this confidence bestowed on him. How was he able to acquire all his properties in Dubai. surely they did not come from his salary. Besides Ribadu's prosecutions on the Governors lacked substance as is shown in the case of Ibori. Ibori and Ribadu are very good friends they playing on our intelligence. How many convictions did Ribadu make. If compared to the arrests and prosecutions he made it is like 2%. This man who is a failure even took time off to engage his former employers, the Federal Government of Nigeria in a press battle from abroad. Well considering he handcuffed and knocked down his former boss Balogun an IG this man is not capable of loyalty as for patriotism, he has none. Goodluck, If you bring this man back your luck might just run out.

Frank, the perspective you see the situation about Ribadu may portend you to be one of the loyalists of Ibori and other corrupt politicians who have ruined our economy. If you have not found anything good in Obasanjo, what can you say of Yar'adua who have wasted three solid years without any achievement. Up till today, outside Nigeria, people still thought Obasanjo is our President. The kind of respect Obasanjo commands in the international community, Yar'adua does not have an infinitesimal proportion of it even when he had not absconded to the land of see me no more. Let us all together condemn corruption in its entirety. Ribadu tried his best even though there could have been some excesses and masterminding but who amongst those he alleged or prosecuted in his tenure was exhonerated in the real sense of it.

Frank, I agree with you, but what I was saying and still saying is that the person that prepared a saltless soup is being persecuted, what of the other who did not even prepare anything! How can we erradicate corruption in that our country totally. If somebody is contesting a political post in Nigeria today, when they are canvassing for people's votes they present themselves as Angels, but immediately they rig themselves in, you and I know what they do. Is that how we would continue? When shall we have a leader that will have the notion to serve the citizens, that will move the ship of the nation forward and not derailing and stagnating the ship. Sentiment apart, I've not seen anything Yar'adua and his team had achieved for the three years. It is a colossal waste. This forum is not to attack our personality, so I am not in particular having an intention of personalising my submission against you. Let''s all continue to educate our readers and may be things may improve for better.
