Oil subsidy is remove and used in the provision of critical infrastructure which this country dearly needs would of course lead to the development of the country but it is going to be used to finance recurrent expenditure like paying our senators an average of 12.5 million every month, then we are going no where.

Oil subsidy is the only way a common benefits from the oil wealth of this nation.  Its removal will make the common man lose out completely.  Government should think twice on this to avoid  revolt from the masss.
It was the sameargument we were presented with in the era of IBB, when subsidy was removed but even at that no infrastructure was provided or developed.  Goevrnment should stop playing hide and seek with the welfare of the masses.

Well said. But I think this time we should activate the freedom of information to our benefit. True, the government has failed Nigerians over the years, It is also true that we have failed to play our roles as citizens of this great nation.

Power  belongs to the people and it is high time we started resisting those bad and obnoxious policies of the government.  They have fooled us for so long.

Its suprising that only few individuals have responded to this singular action that affects almost 200million people in Nigeria and yet we have more than 3000 members here.Maybe the oil subsidy removal thing will bethe beginning of a revolution in Nigeria by the masses. We are very docile people and that is why these politicians keep dealing with us.How can you remove the so called oil subsidy when we are yet to have basic things in this country. No electricity,no roads etc and you want to do that. Why should we always suffer because of thier corruption, thier inefficiency etc.Who are the beneficiaries of this subsidy thing? Why are they not even mentioned? Why are they bigger than the government etc. This removal will automatically reduce the purchasing power of the poor and increase that of contractors(rich). We all know how contracts are done in this country. We all know how corrupt politicians and government officials are.So who is going to manange the money from the oil thing. Will he/she come down from heaven? Let us vehemently refuse this fuel subsidy nonesence since we can not trust these rogues. It would have been a non issue if we actually have very sincere and corruption free leaders.BUT WE ALL KNOW BETTER.

well maybe our people do not understand the effect of the subsidy

Nigeria is one country where people are not bothered by the happenings around them.  Removal of subsidy  will affect all of us, old and you, rich and poor, but the poor will feel the pinch more than any one else.  I think it is better we speak out now or remain silent for ever.
What govt will gain if remove subsidy on oil,oil producing countries like Saudi Arebia, kuwait, Qatar and libya they sold oil to their citizery at cheapest price.Govt promise to provide social amenities to Nigerian go to rural and urban areas life is so difficult to masses. If govt remove subsidy on oil they want commom man to die, by remove subsidy the consequence will fall on masses.
Govt should rethink about it we elected you into political office in order to provide us security and social amenities not to kill a common Nigeria that can't affort to eat three square meal a day.
DON,T MIND JONATHAN, MY QUESTION REMAINS THAT, WHAT IS HE GOING TO USE THE MONEY FOR, IS HE GOING TO BE PAYING UNEMPLOYED GRADUATES OR WHAT, NOTWITHSTANDING, NIGERIAS SHOULD BE READY TO  BUY A LITER OF FUEL 200 BY NEXT YEAR.
Huh Engr S.....................i think this is the right time we need to team up together and say no to 'gedujara' politicians who has nothing to offer this nation but they only enriched their pocket and left poor masses suffering.
