While many people despise religeon as the opium of masses, it is now a major source of foreign exchange for Nigeria. The rate at which Nigerian churches are mushrooming overseas is either an indication that the pastors have come to realise that their praying efforts have failed in Nigeria or they genuinely believe that our problems are beyond the power of their "gods" to turn around. The positive correlation  between poverty and the number of churches  is a serious cause for concern and I hope that our pastors will not pray that the "miracles"  that have befallen Nigeria should befall their host countries.
