According to reports by the Wuhan local health commission, a mysterious illness outbreak in Chinese central city of Wuhan has killed a man this Saturday.
The Chinese New Year holiday is expected to hold later this month and there are major concerns because hundreds of millions of people are expected to travel.
According to Chinese state broadcaster CCTV, the gene sequencing of the virus has been analysed by experts and they think a new type of coronavirus must have triggered it. 41 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
Wuhan’s health commission said 7 people are currently in critical conditions, 2 have been discharged from the hospital, and no new case of infections was reported last week.
The World Health Organisation said most of the people infected are visitors or workers at a certain fish and wild animals' market in Wuhan.
According to the commission, they don't know if the disease is communicable but 700 people have come in contact with the patients but none were infected.
The virus can affect both humans and animals, diseases like a common cold, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) can be gotten from Coronaviruses.
Alarms have been raised in places like Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Philippines, and Thailand because of the disease, officials also said quarantine zones would be set up and passengers from China will be scanned for any signs of the disease
Symptoms included fever, difficulty breathing, and lung lesions.
