President Goodluck Jonathan has emerged the Presidential Flagbear for the Peoples Democratic Party. He was voted the presidential candidate at Eagles where PDP conducted a hit free primaries. The Primaries/National convention which ended at about 6:32am 14th January, 2011.
Goodluck Jonathan polled 2736 votes to beat Atiku Abubakar who polled 805 votes and Sarah Jibril who got 1 vote.

It was a well organised and transparent primaries. PDP has really proved a point here.

Another interesting thing was that Goodluck beat Atiku in Adamawa, Atiku's home state polling 76 votes to Atiku's 31 votes and Sarah's 0 votes while in Bayelsa Goodluck's home state Goodluck sweeped the table polling 67 votes  and Atiku and Sarah got nil.

Atiku sorry o. Wetin happen for your own state sef? Na wa oh
It was expected the primaries was just to fomolize his wide accetance. Indeed iits a new dawn.
Yes it is good news to all lovers of decency and decorum, to all lovers of new generation politics and to all those who want this great country to move forward.
What happens at Eagle square was just a testimony to the facts that Nigerians are desirous for a change , irrespective of your tribe or religion but competency etc. Atiku shot himself in the leg by attacking the personality of the president and forgot that the president is a symbol of Nigeria unity  and sovereignty. He neglected his home work and was banking on zoning only. I wonder how he would have challenged the president to a debate he was calling for. He was accusing the president of not respecting a gentlemanly agreement reached in the PDP on zoning and he he was not gentlemanly enough when it matters most for him to prove that to nigerians. I WILL ADVIS HIM TO SWALLOW HIS PRIDE AND CONGRATULATE THE PRESIDENT ON NATIONAL DAILIES AND ALSO WORK FOR THE PRESIDENT IN THE GENERAL ELECTIONS.  LONG LIVE NIGERIA! LONG LIVE THE PRESIDENT! REMEMBER TO REGISTER EVERY BODY
