Muslim Belief
This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader in the prison ministry.
The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States, especially amongst the minority races!!!
Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant, and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs.
I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video.
After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.
When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked: 'Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?' There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, 'Non-believers!'
I responded, 'So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct?'
The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.'
He sheepishly replied, 'Yes.'
I then stated, 'Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith, or Dr. Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a place in heaven!'
The Imam was speechless!
I continued, 'I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me!
Let me ask you a question: Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with me?'
You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame. Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the Diversification training seminar were not happy with my way of dealing with the Islamic Imam, and exposing the truth about the Muslims' beliefs.
In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President!
I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read this, but with ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!

Its funny that an educated person can believe this article you just presented. I'm a muslim and a proud one. I have never been told to kill any 'infidel' or non muslims. No where in the holy Quran does it mention the unjust killing of innocent non muslims. This is an unfair lie and unjust potrayal of islam.
All you need to know the truth is to google the author and his antecedence. Mr Mathes has been on a 'crusade' against Islam since 9/11. He will stop at nothing to rubbish this beautiful religion. Perhaps he should explain why Islam is growing so fast!

Hello my good friend, I am really amuse when i read your article on Muslim Belief. Reason been that i am a muslim myself and I have neither read nor hear it that Islam wants or wish muslims to kill an Infidel. You might have come accross this distaughted Islamic view from political islamic practictioners that you non muslims referred to as MUSLIM LEADERS. The truth is that no true religion preaches killing in its name and Islam in particular frown at Killing in the name of religion.
I have sibblings that were Christians and we have never fought for a day because of religion. You might b thinking that it is because i am enlightened that is why am reasoning this way. NO. Islam means PEACE and anything that is tagged Peace should exhibit every attribute therein. We still have enlightened Muslims that still belief that killing is permissible in Islam. Yes, there are riots and wars but its never the true picture of Islam. What my muslim brothers were practicing is quite different from the real teaching. Islam was never spread with violence. As a muslim, one ought to have utmost regard for other persons religion and thats why we regard Jesus Christ(peace be on him) with high esteem. No religion preaches violent. Jesus Christ(peace be on him) never instructed Hitler to kill jews, so also, Moses(peace be on him) never instructed the Jews to maltreat Jesus{as}. Its just the animal in human being that manifest itself as a religion.Also check alislam.org

If Islam is a peaceful religion as the muslims try to defend it. Why is Islam at war with every other religion on earth even among itself? We have about a thousand religions on earth and it´s a common knowledge that Islam is the religion that is causing over 75% of all religious related troubles on earth.
One may find it difficult to name the most peaceful religion on earth at first thought but everybody can tell the most troublesome religion on earth without a second thought.

YOU ONLY NEED TO SEE THE CONFLICT AROUND THE WORLD TO UNDERSTAND THE WORD "VIOLENTLY DEADLY" I advice everyone to beware of this clearly deadly plague. Greeting! The premise of the writer is wrong in the first place. Again, this is wrong. The correct meaning of Holy Jihad is "a struggle against one's own soul" in other words, to live righteous life. And not killing infidels. I do have a few questions for my noble friend. Here goes...Where in the Bible did Jesus says "I'm God, worship me". The Bible said Jesus prayed, who was he praying to? Where is the words; Christmas and Easter in the Bible? What is the first commandment of the 10 commandment? When Jesus died for three days, who was controlling the affairs of the universe? Please answer these questions if you are truthful!

@pedro you an infidel. Not only that you an illiterate, tell me one word that could convinced me that you are not. I said this because it is only an illiterate that would believe without reading. The first message that prophet Mohammed p.b.u.him received from God is READ. If you learned, then read the Qur'an then you would understand what Islam is about. Today you this Holy book translated in so many languages and as such you don't need to go about asking any half baked imam or scholar to define Islam for you before you know it is all about. For your information you infidel conflicts, riots and differences have in existence rt before the coming of Islam and if you are doubt go and ask you history teacher or pastor. He/she would tell you better, because they knew what Jesus went through in the hands of infidels like you.

This is another mockery of our religion. Go ahead and write whatever you feels like, we believe Islam will surely outlast your hypocracy. It is indeed a religion of Allah and He has promised to against all odds safe guard it. No amount of intimidation, lies, deceits, distortions or concocted stories will change the fact that Islam is today the fastest growing religion. This captioned is rubbish and I AM CONVINCED IS NOT REAL AT ALL. There is no where such is mention! Vanguard Newspaper should also be very careful for permitting this kind of insults on a particular religion. This is indeed another calculated attempt to tarnish islam and God will NEVER let you succeed!!!

Here we go again, fellow Africans fighting each other because of some foreign religion. Another Jos and Bauchi in the making? So much for love!
Sorry guys but life is a lot more complicated than living by a book. Is it any wonder therefore to see many offshoots of these same religions. Incidentally, none of these holy books condemned slavery; instead they promoted it - so much for equality and value for human life.
Believe and expound the virtues (and ignore the vices) of these foreign religions if you must but please keep it to yourself. It gets tiring....

Going through your "true story" it sounds very much like a fairy tale.It looks like a calculated attempt to ridicule a set of people. From the bottom of your hearth do you believe this?I don't know what part of the country you are from,but in this western Nigeria i dont think this is feasible,also you cannot see any part of the Holy Quran (or Holy Bible for that matter )preaching any of this anomaly . Let us beware of what sort of information we spread
