As @ 4Pm today friday 6th jan. Labour is still hell bent on going on strike & protesting because of removal of fuel subsidy by GEJ govt.this strike is uncalled for because; (1)govt is willing to talk,(2) considering the precarious situation of security in the country now, strike & protest may cause anarchy or breach of public peace,(3) some experts & comrades has alluded to the good intensions of this policy. If i may ask what does labour stand to gain if this country is engulfed in crisis? Imagine some comrade asking for khaki men to struck, this country belongs to all of us,let no one pose, act or behave like he is more patrotic than the other;people paid with their blood before we got this democracy why should we truncate it out of ego, pride & pursuit for recognition? Strike makes govt listen but it should be the last option when dialogue fails.let me remind labour leaders that there is a big animosty between muslims & christians in this country each waiting for an opportunity to forment trouble, who knows, this strike may be the needed catalyst. To GEJ,a word, watch ur back before this policy is messed up... To labour leaders, good intensions sometimes results to harm & no sane govt will like to cause pain to its citizens,... To Nigerians, fuel subsidy removal has caused untold hardship to all of us,iam experiancing it likewise u,but lets sacrifice today for the betterment of our tomorrow & that of our children. I LOVE NIGERIA & would not like to seen it torn apart by instigated crisis.but if NLC/TUC insist on going on strike & protesting,I HOLD THEM RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO THIS DEMOCRACY.
