i want to believe that is God that has ordained President Goodluck Jonathan to rule Nigeria, since independent we have been experiencing government led by half-Bake elites, but now it is the turn of complete elite. someone that have Doctorate degree (Ph D.) in Nigeria with many political experiences within Nigeria, he had learn from the mistake of the past leaders, however, the little days he had spent in office shows that he can;

Lets all watch and see. My only problem with him is that he preaches A and does B.
Is that God from Obasanjo? Wonders do happen sha.
GOD is handling everything for Nigeria, SCREW COMMON SENSE and the peoples need to demand better from their government.
NIGERIANS, learn to use the word "LEAD" and forget the word "RULE"
You are HUMANS and need a LEADER, not Dogs or slaves who need to be RULED.
I hope this is not a ploy to scare his challengers to the race? It is advisable to avoid being sentimental in the whole affair. If God has designated him to rule Nigeria, it will certainly come to pass but I advise us not to be fooled again. Let us be wise enough to know which of the candidates that have a better manifesto for the country. We have been decieved for long in the name of God. Note I believe in God as much as you do, but president Jonathan should test his popularity at the pools. If he wins, so be it. If he loses, he should accept his defeat in good faith. But first let the elections be credible, free and fair.
Charles, This is not a scare tactic. I dont want a situation whereby there will be only one contestant, nor any limitation of choices to only one zone out of the six? The beauty of Democracy is the freedom of choice, which zoning does not guarantee!!! I like to look at the whole thing thus on the 24th October the Primaries would have been over and the real politiking will start with debates, revelations and more revelations. For now lets enjoy the attention Nigeria is getting from the World.

Let us remind the politicians and their supporters of the divine guidelines for kings:

"15 be sure to appoint over you the king the LORD your God chooses. He must be from among your own brothers. Do not place a foreigner over you, one who is not a brother Israelite. 16 The king, moreover, must not acquire great numbers of horses for himself or make the people return to Egypt to get more of them, for the LORD has told you, "You are not to go back that way again." 17 He must not take many wives, or his heart will be led astray. He must not
accumulate large amounts of silver and gold. 18 When he takes the throne of his kingdom, he is to write for himself on a scroll a copy of this law, taken from that of the priests, who are Levites.19 It is to be with him, and he is to read it all the days of his life so that he may learn to revere the LORD his God and follow carefully all the words of this law and these decrees 20 and not consider himself better than his brothers and turn from the law to the right or to the left. Then he and his descendants will reign a long time over his kingdom in Israel. (Deuteronomy 17, NIV).
