There 20th edition of Genesis Crusade, an annual national revival, holds on Friday January 10, 2020.
The crusade tagged 'Genesis 2020', with the theme: Ebenezer, is organised by Genesis Team International (GTI), an interdenominational ministry domiciled in Celestial Church of Christ (CCC).
Thousands of people are expected at the crusade billed to hold at Genesis Crusade Ground, Araromi city, Oteyi bus-stop, along the Papa-Ilaro road in Ogun State.
Announcing the crusade at a press conference in Lagos on Thursday, the Coordinator of GTI, Prophetic Evangelist Ekunola Davies said the crusade is a non-denominational gathering.
Ekunola, a televangelist and renowned preacher in Celestial Church, is one of the ministers who have been evangelising the salvation message across CCC parishes in Nigeria and overseas.
He told newsmen how the crusade started on the streets of Oshodi in Lagos in 2001 before it was moved to the Oshodi/Isolo local government secretariat, then to Blue Roof at LTV 8 Ikeja and in 2010 it was finally moved to the ministry's permanent crusade ground in Ogun state.
Ekunola said: "Over the years, the crusade has not only been a gathering of thousands, but it has also served as a platform of salvation, healing and deliverance for many who have attended.
“It is our belief that the 20th edition will deliver a greater encounter that would bring forth greater testimonies for the people.
"It is going to be a meeting of worship, prayer, revival and impartation," he added.
Speaking on the significance of the theme to the nation, Ekunola said Ebenezer which means "Thus far the Lord has helped us!" is taken from the book of 1 Samuel 7:12.
He explained that despite failed promises from political leaders, economic hardship and insecurity in many parts of the nation, God has helped Nigeria thus far from destruction, and as a new decade begins, there is a need for Nigerians to be more prayerful and commit the nation and their lives into God's hand to continue to take charge and provide help.
At the press conference, some of the ministers who would be ministering at Genesis 2020 - Prophetess Olayinka Davies-Ekunola, Apostle Dan Ekunola who would be leading the GTI Marvelous Choir in praise and worship, and Prophet Samuel Bankole also took turns to talk about the crusade and what participants should expect.
Also present were the Director of Publicity, Evangelist James Olusesi, Head of Protocol and Ushering unit, Evangelist Adebowale Adeboye, Head of Works and Maintenance, Evangelist Adeyinka Adebayo, Head of Digital Media, Mrs. Seyi Cole-Fijabi and Assistant Director of Publicity, Evangelist Olugbenga Akinlalu.
