Coronavirus Update: Singapore Airlines cuts New Zealand, AUS Flights

Singapore airlines have slashed flights to Australia in response to the COVID-19, which is seeing a ‘Do NOT TRAVEL’ advisory from the Australian officials. From the last late month of March to at least the end of month April, Singapore Airlines will reduce its Australian and New Zealand schedule as follows:

  • Brisbane will be reduced to sixteen flights a month.
  • Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney will go for a single daily service.
  • Adelaide, Cairns, Canberra, and Darwin flights will be suspended.
  • Flights to Auckland are being reduced to three-weekly, while flights to Christchurch and Wellington are suspended.

Difficult for those who do wish to travel: the leftover Singapore airlines flights won’t always fly on the same schedule. The best and reliable way to confirm if your particular Australian flight has been canceled is to visit and cross-check your flight number and departure date.
