The Canadian Ministry of Immigration and Career Training helps individuals prepare for, obtain, and maintain employment, and leads activities required to assist employers with the development, recruitment and retention of workers. The Employer Services Unit is responsible for working with businesses and industry associations on workforce issues to improve labour market outcomes.
The Unit is seeking for some dynamic, competent and highly motivated individuals from around the globe to work as an Employer Services Consultant in a fast paced environment. In this role they will provide client focused service to Saskatchewan employers who are looking for solutions to their workforce needs.
[b]Requirements for the Canadian Ministry of Immigration Recruitment for Foreigners 2019[/b]
The position requires detailed, expert level processing of employer applications to hire foreign workers through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program. The work includes evaluation of business operations and documents to ensure program criteria are met.
The foreign employees will provide advice and guidance to employers regarding various labour market supports, such as the Canada-Saskatchewan Job Grant to jobless immigrants especially to individuals of the same country where you are from, Apprenticeship and Skills Training, provision of labour market information, etc. This may include identifying creative solutions with multiple stakeholders, delivering presentations and assisting with labour recruitment events.
[b]Qualifications for the Canadian Ministry of Immigration Recruitment for Foreigners 2019[/b]
The successful candidates should have knowledge of federal and provincial immigration programs and relevant acts and programs, such as the Foreign Worker Recruitment and Immigration Services Act and the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program. They should also have knowledge of theories and methods related to strategic workforce planning, and relevant industry sector trends and issues, and labour market needs in Saskatchewan. The successful candidates should also be skilled in various computer software programs, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, video conference equipment, webinar tools and various databases.
Typically, the competencies for this position would be obtained through a post-secondary degree in public or business administration, and related work experience.
