Babatunde Fashola is a famous Nigerian politician , former Lagos State Governor who served from May 29, 2007 to May 29, 2015. He is the current Federal Minister of Power, Works and Housing. He projected for the Governorship seat as a candidate of the Action Congress party, now known as the All Progressives Congress.

Babatunde Fashola was born in Lagos on 28 June 1963. The widely loved politician is of Yoruba origin, from Lagos. Fashola is a graduate like many other top Nigerian politician, He attended Sunny Field Primary School, Adelabu Surulere, Lagos and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. After completing his primary education, he proceeded to Birch Freeman High School, Surulere, Lagos and later moved to Igbobi College, Yaba, Lagos State where he bagged his Senior Secondary School Leaving Certificate
