Activist Demands Explanation from Senate Deputy Leader Over Funds Budgeted for Rehabilitation of Dilapidated School

A Civil Right Activist, Nazir Galadanchi has called on the Deputy Majority Leader of the Senate, Sen. Bala Ibn Na'Allah, who is representing Kebbi South Senatorial District to explain to Nigerians what happened to the funds that were Budgeted for the Rehabilitation of Maga Model Primary School, Danko, Kebbi State.


According to Nazir, the schools rehabilitation was nominated and included in the 2018 Budget by Senator Bala Ibn Na'Allah and lamented that despite the release of about N50 billion ZIP fund, no work has started in the dilapidated primary school.


Pupils in the Maga Model Primary School are currently learning on ordinary floor and in a highly non-conducive and dilapidated structures.

The statement of Nazir, which was obtained from his Facebook Timeline by Citizens Court, reads:

"This is Maga Model Primary School Danko, Kebbi State, where pupils are disgracefully forced learn sitting on the floor. In this pitiful condition, how does learning take place?


"Rehabilitation of the school was nominated in 2018 budget by Senator Bala Ibn Naallah. After N50bn ZIP fund was released, still no work has started! So, what happened to the money? Perhaps Bala Ibn Na'Allah may want to come online and respectfully explain to Nigerians", Nazir stated.

Calls to Senator Bala Ibn Na'Allah contact for clarification were unsuccessful.
