I live in the Sultanate of Oman.  Up till around October 2009, all Nigerians in the Middle-East enjoy the AIT TV programmes such as Focus Nigeria, Minijojo, Democratic License, MTN Project Fame and other educative and informative programmes.  Incidentally around October, 2009, the Anchor of Focus Nigeria, Gbenga Aruleba was said to have been removed and replaced with Kunle Adewale but after about 2 weeks presentation, we heard that AIT management was threatened by the Federal Government that their license of operation would be revoked for instigating Nigerians in diaspora against the government through the Focus Nigeria and other programmes.  Since then, the channel had been off from our Tv sets and we have written through various media to know the true situation but up till now we have not gotten any light.  Can anybody help us to find out what really is the situation.  We have some rumours that the frequency has been changed, some people said they have stopped the transmission to outside Nigeria.  AIT is the only medium through which we have information that are valid about home (Nigeria) and since we can no more access the channel, we are in the dark.  Please help.

Nigerians, and same Government will be eager to believe everything they read on BBC,CNN...My Dear though it might be stressful U can get someone to record the programme and zip it to U via your mail
If the Nigeria Government is filtering or restricting information about Nigeria through the sanctioning of Nigeria media, is it possible for them to prevent Al-Jazeera, BBC, France24 and CNN from airing information about Nigeria. I wonder! Every shameful situation about Anambra election on Saturday was showed by Al-Jazeera.
of course you and I know this, that we read even the colour of the "s***" clearer from foreign media . Nigerian press are trying their best, but the hawks think they can hide under a .

Hi, John. Your predicament bears testimony to our self-inflicted pain of underdevelopment. I initially thought that you may contact Daar Communication (owners of AIT & Ray Power) via their website: www.daargroup.com. But i was shocked when i checked a while ago that their "site is undergoing temporary maintenance".
Dear viewer,
I am sure your reception for Ait international for Oman was recieved via Hotbirb 13 degrees East but due to some adjustments AIT and some other channels was moved from the Hotbird satelite.
If it is possible for you to recieve Astra 28.2 degrees East or Eurobird 28 East channels in Oman you can move your dish to adjust and to either of the beamed satelite signals there you can be sure of conecting to AIT signals.
You can also watch AIT on www.watchait.com from the internet.
I hope to hear from you soon wish you success.
Mayoka.
Thanks for this great information. I would definitely get back to you.

What a country! Are we not happy that Nigeria content are being received outside Nigeria. United States government did revoked the operating lincense of CNN just because they incite or instigate Americans against their government. Our leaders have refuse to accept the qualities of being a democratic state. We can only delay the truth but we cannot stop it from being aired.
Dear Mayoka,
Thanks for the enlightenment. We have contacted the technician but was told there is no Astra 28.2 degree East in Oman but would get Eurobird. However, the technician would like to know on which frequency AIT could be received. If you can go further to provide this information, it would be a delight as it is now that we don't have the AIT channel that we value what we are missing from home.

Thanks once again.
Dear Friend and Brother John,
I will also try and contact some guys about this in case you have not gotten the satellite information. Meanwhile you should try Channels T.V. too. They are doing a wonderful job although AIT may be better. Try out Sahara reporters too. You will get information about Naija. Good to see you in this community. When you come home let's see your face in our place along Moniya road. U get me now.
My Doctor, thanks for your response. Somebody gave us some hints which we are already working on. We cannot get channels TV in Oman. It is only AIT that we have been enjoying before your people decided to ex-communicate us. If you can still help us to make further contacts, it would be appreciated. How is IITA.

Regards.
Dear John
It is good to hear you are working on it please confirm from the Technician which of the Eurobird signals
that is available for reception in the Oman is it Eurobird 28.5° east or Eurobird 9°east.
What type of down receiver do you have?
It will be possible for you to contact me mayokamann@yahoo.com it will make our communication easier
and maybe we can have an online chat.
You can also log on to www.watchnta.com
Thank you and best regards
Mayoka
